In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I had my first paying gig when I was 10. I played with my guitar teacher and his band. We started playing "The Girl from Ipanema" too slowly. I wasn't having it! I deliberately started playing it at a faster tempo and dragged the band along with me! What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Brandi Carlile, Give Up The Ghost Carly Simon, No Secrets Indigo Girls, Rites of Passage Bonus Track Version I love how each song on ROP flows into the other and the harmonies are so nuanced/beautiful. Every song on GUTG has so much emotion in it, plus BC's vocals are wonderful. In No Secrets, it's an album you can listen to whenever, no matter your mood. The song seems to resonate with people, which makes me proud. These are the lyrics that ring the truest for me still. It makes me happy that many people can connect to a song about authentically being your own person. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? I sang with Brandi Carlile and her band in front of my biggest audience to date (2,000-ish people) at her festival Mothership Weekend! It was so exhilarating; I'll never forget it! More songwriting, recording, gigs, meeting/working w/ my musical inspirations, touring (solo, with my band, opening for my heroes, headlining my own events), growing my own music festival, Fourth Wave Fest, and making a living as a gigging musician!
