About Cö shu Nie

Japanese rock band Cö shu Nie is primarily the vision of frontwoman Miku Nakamurai, a classically trained pianist and multi-instrumentalist playfully known as “director” to the group’s other members. ∙ Although Cö shu Nie formed in 2011, they first found major success in 2018, when their single “Asphyxia” was chosen as the opening theme for anime series Tokyo Ghoul:re. ∙ “Asphyxia” marked the first time that Cö shu Nie hit the Japanese charts, a feat the group has since repeated several times, most notably with their 2019 album, Pure. ∙ Their songs have appeared in the anime series The Promised Neverland and Psycho-Pass. ∙ Nakamurai, who also performs solo under the name micoon, collaborated with American EDM artist Slushii on the 2019 single “Calling Out to You.” ∙ In 2020, the Cö shu Nie song “Red Strand” was used in the anime film Psycho-Pass 3: First Inspector.
