Bruses

Bruses is the alias of Amalia Ramirez, an indie pop Mexican singer who started writing songs as a way to cope with mental health issues. Around 2019 Bruses began uploading her first songs and videos to social media platforms, eventually gathering a considerable following with her mixture of lo-fi, electronica, and rock, and her introspective lyrics -- with Billie Eilish as an obvious point of reference. In 2021 she had her first hit with the single "Dueles Tan Bien," later included on her debut full-length, Monstruos (2022), which earned Bruses a Latin Grammy nomination.
