In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Playing that opening gig at the Back Room on Riverside in Austin, TX. That was a crowded show with people mostly there to see the next band - but we won them over and they really got into our set. IT was a great feeling that night! Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Santiago (Live)” I will always treasure this song and particular performance. The song was written about the part of my family who was still struggling living in Santiago de Cuba at the time and how it made me feel angry and helpless to make a real difference. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Getting packed up in a small pickup truck and an even smaller hatchback with all our gear and driving 266 miles south from Austin to play our own songs at a quinceañera in Laredo. Definitely a memorable moment.
