Nashville-based ukulele duo Bright Little Field was formed by Tom Littlefield and Jonathan Bright after the two veteran musicians discovered a shared love for Minneapolis' the Replacements. Both men had done their share of decibel damage in and around the scene, with Littlefield crafting jangle and twang with the Questionnaires and Bright honing his chops in multiple hard rock outfits, and the idea of stripping things down to their most primal level (ukulele, pots and pans) while paying homage to one of their favorite bands was too enticing not to try and bring to fruition. The resulting Treatment Bound: A Ukulele Tribute to the Replacements was released through Bar/None in 2012. ~ James Christopher Monger
