About Brian McGrath

In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Five years old, New Years Eve, my home buzzing with the lilt of Irish brogues. There I was on the floor, ear pressed firmly against the scratchy speaker cloth of a Sears Roebuck console stereo. The joy, the drama, the pain - straight to my heart. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Bob Dylan, Blood On The Tracks Bruce Springsteen, Nebraska U2, The Joshua Tree U2's The Joshua Tree remains my most favorite album. It is majestic, cinematic, and joyously melancholic. It's America good and bad. The physical place, and the idea. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Tea Leaves” This is a song of joy in the face of hardship - of arriving at midlife having been and having seen and having lost. And even still, the strength to still look forward, to still love, to still dream. The story of a life lived forward and through. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Performing in support of the "Rally for the River" to prevent toxic dumping in the majestic Hudson River. There I sang the keynote song, Pete Seeger's "My Dirty Stream" on the beautiful banks of that river just down stream from Mr. Seeger's home. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? To perform at Ravinia in Illinois. That would be a dream :)
