About Brian Johnson
Brian Johnson makes any short list of contemporary praise & worship’s most influential figures. Born in 1978 in Northern California, where both his father and grandfather served as pastors, Brian and his wife, Jenn Johnson, are the cofounders of Bethel Music. Since releasing their first record, Here Is Love, in 2010, the Northern California collective has evolved from Bethel Church’s humble music ministry into a publishing house and record label recognized as leaders in the global praise & worship movement. In addition to juggling roles as worship pastor, producer, and singer, Johnson is a composer—and a highly innovative one. His gift for marrying modern-rock-informed arrangements with intensely personal exaltations to God’s glory and love has resulted in a string of anthems, “No Longer Slaves” and “Love Came Down” among them, that have been recorded by many of the biggest Christian artists out there, including Kari Jobe, Zach Williams, and Tasha Cobbs Leonard.
