In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. My earliest musical memory was sitting by the church organ that Mum played each Sunday, fascinated by the way she played to carry the voices of the congregation heavenward. Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Alison Krauss & Union Station, So Long So Wrong John Mayer, Room for Squares John Williamson, Mallee Boy John Williamson's iconic songs inspired in me a love for singing and writing about my country. A timeless and resounding love story with echoes of bygone years, yet always looking forward to better days that lay ahead. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Being named Star Maker in 1999 changed the trajectory of my life and opened the door to so many opportunities- be it touring, friendships, writing or recording. It was a moment that nearly made me sick with excitement. Things would never be the same.
