Brenda Waters

Along with Shirley Joiner and Carl Preacher, gospel vocalist Brenda Waters formed the Southeast Inspirational Youth Choir in the '70s, which helped pioneer contemporary gospel music in a church setting. She also worked with Donald Lawrence, appearing on his 1993 debut album A Songwriter's Point Of View. Waters released her own solo debut, Believers & Friends, in 1999 on the Crystal Rose label. ~ Heather Phares
