My brothers set it up – all shiny and new – and one of them handed me some sticks. I hit a drum, waited, then hit another; nothing was ever the same again. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band (Deluxe Edition) 2017 Remix & Remaster The National, High Violet Bonus Track Version "Sgt. Pepper's" flights of fancy push every boundary, but always in service of those perfect songs. When I first heard "High Violet" it felt like I'd been waiting for it all my life. Tell us why you chose this song. “The Last Train” It's a slow song but it hit me like a steam train. The guitar riff steamed off the fretboard at me, the words just came, and the musicians and engineer all just got it and jumped right on board.
