About Bobby Curtola

Bobby Curtola was born in 1944 in Ontario, Canada, and fronted his first professional band, Bobby and the Bobcats, when he was 15. He launched Tartan Records just one year later and released the first of more than 30 singles, most of which reached the Top Ten in Canada. His biggest hit was "Fortune Teller" in 1962. He hosted two variety shows for Canadian CBC-TV, After Four in 1965 and Shake, Rock, Roll in 1973. His albums include Hitch-Hiker (1961), Mr. Personality (1962), Truly Yours (1963), 12 Tickets to Cloud 9 (1964), Love Story in Stereo (1965), Twelve Golden Hits (1966), Changes (1971), Curtola (1972), Shake, Rock and Roll (1974), 15 Greatest Hits (1991) and Christmas Flashback Album (1992). ~ John Bush
