About Blanco Brown

Blanco Brown is the stage name of Bennie Amey III, an American singer, songwriter, and producer whose “trailer trap” music combines country and hip-hop. ∙ Influenced by the music of Outkast, Johnny Cash, and Tim McGraw, Brown was drawn at an early age to both rap and country songs that told stories. ∙ His first break came in 2015, when “Suga,” a song he’d cowritten and coproduced, was included on Monica’s hit album Code Red. ∙ He coproduced Fergie’s 2016 hit “M.I.L.F. $,” which sold over 500,000 copies. ∙ In 2018, he cowrote and coproduced “Goalie Goalie,” a track featuring Arash, Nyusha, and Pitbull that was played during the opening ceremonies of the 2018 FIFA World Cup. ∙ Brown made his solo debut with 2019’s “The Git Up,” an international smash that topped Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart and went triple-Platinum in the US. ∙ Teaming up with DJ and producer Diplo in 2020, they created the country-electronica dance hit “Do Si Do.”
