About Black Veil Brides
Black Veil Brides frontman Andy Biersack attended high school at Cincinnati’s School for Creative and Performing Arts before dropping out to pursue his rock ’n’ roll dreams in LA. ∙ In 2009, the band released a low-budget video for “Knives and Pens,” which earned them a cult following even before their lineup was fully formed. ∙ They were discovered by Rob Zombie/Ozzy Osbourne bassist Blasko, who became their manager and coproduced their first full-length album, We Stitch These Wounds. ∙ We Stitch These Wounds sold 11,000 copies its first week—an impressive showing for an independently released album. ∙ In 2011, Black Veil Brides won Revolver magazine’s Golden Gods Award for Best New Band. ∙ Black Veil Brides have had four consecutive albums reach the Top 20 of the Billboard 200 chart. ∙ The band’s self-titled release won Album of the Year at the 2015 Alternative Press Music Awards.
