About Billy Paul
Best known as the voice behind the quintessential Philly soul smash "Me and Mrs. Jones," Billy Paul will be forever associated with that 1972 number one hit. However, he recorded three earlier albums with the legendary Philadelphia production/songwriting team Gamble & Huff before 360 Degrees of Billy Paul made the Philly native a Grammy winner and a household name worldwide. Paul continued to score hits on the R&B charts throughout the '70s, including "Am I Black Enough for You?" and "Thanks for Saving My Life," and kept recording and performing regularly through to the late '80s. ~ Jim Allen
