About Ben Jaimen

Singer/songwriter Ben Jaimen is a dynamic performer with a bent toward uplifting pop/rock and R&B. Born in Germany, Jaimen grew up in Berlin, and by grade school he was already a proficient pianist. As a teenager, inspired by artists like Stevie Wonder, Elton John, and Michael Jackson, he began improvising and writing his own songs. After high school, Jaimen earned his bachelor's degree in music from the Rimon Music School of Jazz and Contemporary Music in Israel. It was also while studying in Israel that he began performing regularly in local clubs. However, despite his growing success as a performer, after college Jaimen took some time away from his pop career to teach music to children in Cordoba, Argentina. It was a formative experience that would inform his own compositions, pushing him to write even more uplifting, positive-minded songs. Eventually, Jaimen returned to Germany, where he once again began pursuing a solo career. A performance of his composition "The Cave" caught the ear of world champion boxer Arthur Abraham, who adopted the song as his theme for entering the ring. This added exposure helped boost Jaimen's career and led to several high-profile concerts at Berlin's Brandenburg Gate. With his growing popularity in Germany and across Europe, Jaimen relocated to the United States, where he began working on an album assisted by producers Ilana Martin (Sean Combs, Patti LaBelle, D'Angelo) and Davy Nathan (Christina Aguilera, Jason Derulo, Sean Kingston). In 2014, Jaimen released his debut EP, Through the Universe, which included the single "Satellites." ~ Matt Collar
