About Ben Frost
Ben Frost is an Iceland-based Australian experimental electronic music composer, sound designer, and engineer. His music regularly combines treated guitars, dense electronics, and swelling strings to bracing effect. He earned acclaim for early albums like 2006's Theory of Machines and his intense live performances, and contributed to recordings by Swans, Tim Hecker, Sam Amidon, and many others. His more rhythmic and melodic yet still vast and uncompromising 2014 full-length A U R O R A became his critical breakthrough, and he followed it with 2017's more nuanced The Centre Cannot Hold. Frost kept busy composing music and desiging audio for several films, games, and series such as Fortitude, Dark, and Raised by Wolves.
