About Barry Adamson

The former bass player for Magazine, and also a member of Visage and Nick Cave's Bad Seeds, Barry Adamson's solo output has seen him concentrate largely on instrumental music. These ventures have allowed him to plow a much deeper artistic furrow, and everything from scat jazz to sinister electronic instrumentals have found a place on his recordings. Adamson's 1989 debut album, Moss Side Story, the soundtrack to a non-existent film noir about the Manchester suburb, paved the way for genuine soundtrack work, most notably for David Lynch's eerie masterpiece Lost Highway.
