About Badshah

After getting hooked on Punjabi hip-hop while studying at engineering college, Aditya Prateek Singh Sisodia began writing rap lyrics and named himself Badshah.

∙ The rapper/singer, who performs in both Hindi and Punjabi, started his career in 2006 with hip-hop collective Mafia Mundeer.
∙ Since going solo in 2012, he’s recorded dozens of singles and videos, many of them for Bollywood soundtracks.
∙ Badshah used more than 200 dancers in the video for his 2012 single “Saturday Saturday,” one of the most expensive Bollywood clips ever shot.
∙ In 2019, he made his acting debut, starring in the Hindi-language dramedy Khandaani Shafakhana, for which he also composed music for the soundtrack.
