About Ashley Wool

In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. The first song that ever made me cry was "Painters" by Jewel. I was nine years old and hearing that story of two artists in love with a Hans Christian Andersen bittersweet ending absolutely broke me. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Christina Aguilera, Stripped Jacob Yandura, Rebekah Greer Melocik, How to Dance in Ohio (Original Broadway Cast Recording) Jason Mraz, Waiting for My Rocket to Come How to Dance in Ohio's influence speaks for itself, but Stripped and Rocket are probably the two albums that have most influenced me as a singer/songwriter. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Automatoronic” The most autistic song I've ever written, and I wrote it when I was 15, years before I was diagnosed. I needed a big word for the big feelings, so I took a cue from my literary idol, Dr. Seuss, and made up my own. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Performing at the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade with the cast of How to Dance in Ohio was unforgettably magical. We're the only Broadway show in history that's performed in the parade while we were still in previews. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I'm hoping to take my cabaret concert on tour, and mix some of my original songs into it.
