About Aroshanti

In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I don't think my Mum would have called it musical, but my first memory is a kitchen fall of pots and pans and being given two wooden spoons. I love you Mum! What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Jean-Michel Jarre, Oxygène Mike Rowland, The Fairy Ring (Remastered) Vangelis, Blade Runner (Original Score from the Motion Picture) Right from the start of my journey, I remember 'The Fairy Ring' from my childhood and bedtimes! Vangelis's Bladerunner opening theme still gives me goose bumps. Watching Jean-Michel Jarre in Wembley Stadium (I was 10) with his laser piano .. wow! Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Om Namah Shivaya - Inner Earth Healer” Out of all my music, the one that I found the most connection to was 'Inner Earth Healer'. Chanting Om Namah Shivaya and playing my Shakuhachi flute is probably the closest to the sound I hear and feel in my head and heart. OMmmm What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? I can honestly say each day I spend in the studio on a new track is absolutely a highlight. Each time it's like meeting an old long lost friend and having the creativity flow through is the most amazing feeling. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I love to collect new instruments from around the world, as you might have guessed from my studio photos. But, there is always room for one more flute or one more percussion instrument. Africa, Japan, Australia are currently on my bucket list!
