In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. When writing the earlier songs, we ran through parts of the songs to dial them in, and it was then that Josh learned that Phillip was never given free reign to write his drum parts in other bands, which was asinine, as Phil is a phenomenal musician. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Home Grown, When It All Comes Down - EP Protest the Hero, Kezia Home Grown has been a major influence in Josh's writing, and their EP majorly influenced how Josh approached guitar. Kezia by Protest the Hero was released in the same year the band began and has been a real banger ever since. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “challenger” This was the first song we ever wrote & is a major part of how Josh & Phillip approached songwriting. Phil's drum parts influenced the rhythmic pattern Josh played, and vice versa. We grew as musicians together, and that's why this song means a lot. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Recording this album and specifically recording the drums at The Pale Moon Ranch. Pale Moon is a fantastic studio with HUGE sound, great lodging, and was kind of like our summer camp for a few days. The vibes were all great. The vibes! Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? We want apollo:sent to be heard by as many people as possible (and hopefully like it!) - and of course we want to keep writing music until we stop breathing.
