In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I remember my first "paid" gig, I was 12 years old. My dad's formerly famous 70s/80s band was doing a reunion show and I got tapped to be the opening act, performing 3 cover songs. The promoter of the show slipped me a $100 bill, which blew my mind. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Ellie Goulding, Higher Than Heaven (Deluxe) Nick Jonas, Spaceman Prince, Sign O' The Times (Super Deluxe Edition) 2020 Remaster To me Sign O' the Times is the greatest album ever made, given Prince's extraordinary importance in my life. Higher Than Heaven and Spaceman are the best examples of a total sonic blueprint for what I'm now trying to achieve as a new solo pop artist. Tell us why you chose this song. “Back 4 U” "Back 4 U" is special as it was my first single as ANTi, my newly minted artist name after my 2010s electro-pop duo The Love Elektrik went on indefinite hiatus. It came out in 2020, a difficult year, and cemented my commitment to a new artistic path. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? One of the most rewarding moments was my first collaboration with SCi-FY making "Close to You." The creative chemistry between us was so great in that first instant of the session that it was like we were musically finishing each others' sentences. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? The whole list! I'm a dreamer and I've dedicated my life to going all-in on music, no matter the consequences. Winning a Grammy, contributing to a #1 single on the Billboard Hot 100, and earning a platinum single or album are all on the bucket list.
