About Anthony David

Seemingly inspired by Bill Withers and Terry Callier, Atlanta native Anthony David managed and collaborated with India.Arie prior to becoming a performer with 3 Chords & the Truth (2004) and The Red Clay Chronicles (2006). Those albums were distilled for the Universal-distributed Acey Duecy (2008). A number 30 on Billboard's Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart, it included "Words," an Arie duet nominated for a Grammy. David switched to the eOne label, where he released As Above So Below (featuring the Top 20 R&B/Hip-Hop hit "4evermore," 2011), the compilation #LocationLocationLocation (2011), and Love Out Loud (2012). After a move to Shanachie, he released The Powerful Now (2016). ~ Andy Kellman
