Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Lauryn Hill, The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill Michael Jackson, Bad USHER, Confessions (Expanded Edition) Lauryn Hill is the best of both worlds. Unique singing voice, conscious rap, and inspirational. Usher was like the new MJ for me. The drama around the album had me on edge. MJ was my first love. Tell us why you chose this song. “I Gotta Find Peace of Mind” This song is about the battle between self-love and loving someone else. This is precisely how I feel when I second guess myself and my place in the world. Sometimes I cry listening to it, depending on how I feel. It means a lot to me. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? The most memorable moment for me was performing in Japan on NYE 2023. Japan is amazing, and the love I got made me feel right at home. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I want to be a staple for black female unity. One day I'll start a music festival just for women. Performers, activists, and vendors. You know, something just for us to cry, laugh, have fun, and be sisters.
