In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. My mom was a voice teacher. Sometimes, she would have students really early in the morning before school started. I remember waking up often to the sound of our bright upright piano and vocal scales while the sun was still coming up. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Amy Winehouse, Frank Erykah Badu, Live Stevie Wonder, Songs In The Key Of Life Frank helped my get through a break up. Songs In The Key of Life taught me about the world. Eyrkah Badu: Live spits truth and the arrangements excite me. These albums are standards in my book. Tell us why you chose this song. “Tell Me” This song is special because it's my only song I wrote completely on my own. It isn't my most popular song but I think its the most beautiful. There is lush string orchestration that brings the song to a new height that the lyrics couldn't do alone. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Singing with Jon Batiste at The Gallivan Center in my hometown of Salt Lake City, UT. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I've reached so many milestones in my career I know I'll continue to reach more than I thought possible. I don't have a bucket list anymore...my hope is that my music will continue to reach the right people and make them feel like they aren't alone.
