About Andriëtte

Singer and songwriter Andriëtte has built a distinguished career with her compelling personality and soulful vocal range. Born Andriette Norman in 1987, the Brackenfell, Cape Town native contributed to popular music compilation projects Bokjol and 30 Goue Sokkie Treffers in her late teens alongside other artists. The Afrikaans pop singer went on to be the first runner-up on Idols South Africa in 2007, and a year later, she released her debut album, Diamant, a mix of pop and dance records. Songs like 2020’s “Druppel In Die See” have marked Andriëtte’s evolution from the Idols stage to the mainstream with feel-good pop anthems and covers of iconic songs like Fleetwood Mac’s “Songbird.”
