About Andrew Wells

In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I was probably seven or eight and knew zero English. My school wanted us to learn a song that we liked. My mother is a big MJ fan, so it was natural for me to want to learn an MJ song. And that song ended up being non-other than Billie Jean. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Drake, Take Care Kanye West, The Life of Pablo Kendrick Lamar, To Pimp a Butterfly That’s a hard one…To Pimp A Butterfly showed me what storytelling rap can be. Take Care walked me through some of the most important healings in my life, and The Life Of Pablo enlightened me about the versatility of Hip-hop. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Don't Stop Believing” I was showering in my Manhattan apartment when the song’s melody appeared in my head out of nowhere. Ideas just wouldn’t stop coming, so I rushed to record a demo in my bedroom—all the while still being wet and soapy...the rest is history. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? It's gotta be after I dropped my mixtape. When I first started hearing my name mentioned by artists and fans that I had never met, especially when some of them tell you your music inspires them—I mean, it doesn’t get much better than that. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Definitely got a lot left that I want to do. One of the biggest things is to collaborate with at least one artist from every country in the world. I’m building on a different level, and I’m only getting started.
