About Amy Dickson

Australian saxophonist Amy Dickson made her concerto debut aged 16. On her 18th birthday she recorded the Dubois Divertissement with John Harding and the Sydney Symphony Orchestra. The following year she moved to London and studied at the Royal College of Music. During this time she won the Royal Overseas League Competition, the Symphony Australia Young Performer of the Year Competition, and the Prince's Prize. She released her debut album, Smile, in 2008. Eager to integrate more of the classical elements of her background, she released Plays Glass, Tavener & Nyman in 2009. Released in 2013, the chart-topping Dusk & Dawn cemented her reputation as one of the most exciting and contemporary classical stars of the 2010s. ~ Aneet Nijjar
