About American Anymen

New York City's American Anymen emerged in the late '90s with a brash, punk-inflected sound that drew heavily from the Lower East Side's anti-folk scene. The collective issued a steady stream of EPs and singles throughout the early aughts and 2010s, including the 2016 full-length effort Start My Center. By 2019, the band was leaning in a heavier direction, combining elements of industrial metal and punk on the hard-hitting singles "A Tangled Square" and "No Janitor Could Ever Clean This Mess." Early 2022 saw the release of the uncompromising "Fentanyl Death Kiss," which appeared on the Eclipse-issued LP Cities Changing Names later that year.
