About Amanda Adams
Starting as a piano prodigy, singer Amanda Adams began writing at an early age. Spending her adolescence on a farm in Ohio, Adams took to classical music and studied European composers. Upon discovering her love for the Russian language, she traveled to St. Petersburg for formal training and began absorbing the cold and perfectionist culture she experienced there. Contests and competitions kept the prize money coming in while she funded her education, eventually leading to a Master's Degree from Harvard University. Turning to gothic music, Adams started the moody Seven 13 in 1997, originally naming it Coven 13. The band's atmospheric sound was highly based in her classical experiences, and became an effective outlet for her darker material. Moving to Cape Cod to settle down and concentrate on music, the band continued on with their carnival-like atmosphere and goth rock sounds through the turn of the century. ~ Bradley Torreano
