Alexander Eder

The distinctive, raspy baritone of singer Alexander Eder has made him a striking presence in his native Austria. A student of Vienna's Prayner Conservatory, he caught the ear of his country as a quarterfinalist on Germany's version of singing competition The Voice, where he lent his deep voice to classics by Elvis Presley and Johnny Cash (and even Josh Turner's American country chart-topper "Your Man," which ended up on Eder's debut album, 2020's Schlagzeilen). Follow-up album Ganz Normal (2023) proved to be an even more significant breakthrough beyond his fan base, becoming his second Austrian Top Ten record and first to appear on the German charts. Third album Quer durch die Bank, released in 2025, hit the Top Ten in both countries.
