In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. The Stones Throw Bar in Eau Claire, 1988. We had a relatively short list of songs. We finished our set, and the manager said, “Oh no, you’re not done!” We ended up playing our entire set again. Good practice for us. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Joy Division, Unknown Pleasures (2019 Digital Master) Remastered Radiohead, Kid A Sonic Youth, Daydream Nation (2012 Remastered Version) For us, our band, these were the three most influential and seminal albums of the post-punk genre coming out of the 70s, 80s, and 90s. These records were an authentic response to everything that was happening around them, culturally and politically. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? In 2021 we reunited to record a new record. This will be a period we will remember forever. We fell back into the same chemistry that held us together some 30 years prior, and put out what we believe was a very strong come-back album. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Two locations we would love to play at: First Avenue in Minneapolis, and The Empty Bottle in Chicago. We’ve seen many awesome bands at these locations, bands that have influenced us a great deal. Playing these clubs would be a highlight for us.
