About Alan Arena

In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. When I was 17, I wrote a song called "Doing 110 at 3 AM" about a night out with friends. It wasn't until years later that I realized that I had written a Chuck Berry-like song, who's music was in my blood. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? B.B. King, Eric Clapton, Riding with the King Jimmy Rogers, Ronnie Earl & The Broadcasters, Jimmy Rogers With Ronnie Earl and the Broadcasters (Live) Susan Tedeschi, Just Won't Burn As an American Roots songwriter, these albums have helped shape the way that I write songs today Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Believe in Yourself” I started writing Believe in Yourself from a caregiver's point of view, because you can't always rely on someone coming in the 11th hour, and you need to be strong enough to withstand those down times in order to protect another person What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? The most memorable moment was when Grammy-winning producer Paul Nelson heard my original songs and decided on the spot to produce my latest record. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I would love to put my live show together and hit the road, playing as many places as I can and bringing my music to the people
