About Al Dubin
After being expelled from school in 1911, Al Dubin headed for New York in search of a career in music. Gassed while serving in France during World War I, Dubin was shipped home, upon which he wrote lyrics for "The Lonesomest Gal In Town" before teaming up with Joe Burke in Hollywood of the late-'20s. Together, they penned "Tip Toe Through The Tulips," "Love Will Find A Way," and "Dancing With Tears In My Eyes." In the '30s, he collaborated with Harry Warren, writing for films ranging from 42ND STREET to MOULIN ROUGE, adding many classic songs to the public consciousness, including "We’re In The Money," "I Only Have Eyes For You," "Keep Young And Beautiful," "With Plenty Of Money And You," and the Oscar-winning "Lullaby Of Broadway."
