In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Living in a traditional Palestinian village, Akram was inevitably introduced to Darbuka at a young age. At 7 years old, Akram’s uncles, taught him basic rhythms and later started learning Oud with his father. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Saba Rock” One of my favorite from “From Here” EP 2020 , aims to focus on the modernisation of the arabic violin reflects memories and emotions from my childhood and both feelings of belonging and estrangement. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Inspired by the love for the Carnatic violin , I made a journey to the far East in 2018 to further refine my music style . Having the chance to share my music on stage with people from all around the world, lately my UK 2023 summer tour. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Akram views music as means to communicate to the world a powerful message of peace and love; invigorating imaginative state of mind among his listeners, elevating their senses to higher spirituality and connecting them with their most inner selves.
