In the artist’s words: What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Dolly Parton, Jolene Jessi Colter, Waylon Jennings, Leather and Lace Merle Haggard, Going Where the Lonely Go Jolene showed me how powerful simple storytelling can be and made me fall in love with this genre. Leather and Lace helped me find my sound, blending grit and grace. Going Where the Lonely Go brought out a new sound in my songwriting. Tell us why you chose this song. “COWBOY KILLER” This song will always be special to me because it was my first ever release. Hearing it on Apple Music for the first time felt surreal, like all the late nights writing finally turned into something real. It marked the start of my journey. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? One of my earliest musical memories is my first headlining, ticketed show at the Mockingbird Theatre when I was 18. I remember the anixety as I stepped on that stage when I heard that first cheer, it felt like I was right where I belonged. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I dream of one day playing the Grand Ole Opry and the Ryman Auditorium, sharing my songs with a full crowd, and hitting the road on tour with my band—living the music I’ve always believed in.
