In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. This memory is fuzzy, but when I was very young, my family attended a local event that involved musicians on a small stage. For whatever reason, I remember being allowed backstage or onstage, and I remember how excited and special that felt to me. Tell us why you chose this song. “Pretty When I Cry” This was the third song I ever wrote, and the first that felt like "something" to me. I was nineteen, living in my childhood home, and I'd only been playing guitar for less than a year. For that reason, it will always have a special place in my heart What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? I recently had the pleasure of performing in a theatre for the first time as a musician. This was special for me as, years ago, I danced in many theatres. I was backed by a full band, including violin, cello, and a grand piano -- it was so beautiful!
