Singer-songwriter A-Lin was discovered by her first agent while singing to comfort children in the aftermath of Taiwan’s Jiji earthquake. ∙ A-Lin performed Britney Spears’ “…Baby One More Time” for her record company audition. ∙ Nominated for Best New Artist for her debut album, 失戀無罪, at the 18th Golden Melody Awards, she’s also been nominated three times for Best Mandarin Female Singer. ∙ In 2015, her national profile rose when she appeared on the Chinese reality show I Am a Singer, placing among the top six finalists. ∙ The popular Chinese TV series Ice Fantasy featured her song “梦话” as its closing theme. ∙ Her single “A Kind of Sorrow” was the theme song of More Than Blue, the highest-grossing Taiwanese film of 2018, in which she also made a guest appearance.
