9.7 RICHTER

A ground-shaking power/thrash outfit based out of Bucharest, Romania, 9.7 Richter was founded in 2002. Drawing influence from NWOBHM giants like Judas Priest, along with thrash pioneers like Testament and Metallica, the band underwent multiple personnel changes during its formative years, eventually settling on a core unit the included Cosmin Aioniţă, Adrian Rus, Lucian Grula, Sebastian Stanciu, and Alex Dascaloiu. They released a debut EP, Epicenter, in 2010, followed by their first full-length offering, Ground Zero, in 2014. ~ James Christopher Monger
