About Amber Mark
Amber Mark’s exotic sound is the result of a childhood spent in the US, India, Germany, Brazil, Goa, and Nepal with her German-born mother, painter Mia Mark, who loved to travel.
∙ She attended her first concert at age four—the Munich stop on Michael Jackson’s HIStory World Tour.
∙ In 2016, after Mark uploaded her first song, “S P A C E,” to the internet, Zane Lowe played it on his Beats 1 radio show and Apple Music featured it as an iTunes Hot Track.
∙ Mark’s mother is the focal point of her debut album, 2017’s 3:33am, including the song “Monsoon,” which contains a sample of Mia Mark’s voice.
∙ After Mark recorded a cover of “Love Is Stronger Than Pride” for her 2018 EP, Conexão, she wrote to Sade, asking her permission to release it.
