On his debut LP, Sound From Africa, Rayvanny delivers on the title’s ambitious promise with an extensive collection of the wide-ranging sounds the continent has to offer. Marking the culmination of his series of Pan-African collaborations across previous singles, the album’s guest list plots a veritable atlas of styles—from Nigeria (Zlatan Ibile, Joe Boy) to South Africa (Nasty C, Rowlene), Zimbabwe (Jah Prayza) and his own homeland Tanzania (Vanessa Mdee, Diamond Platinumz).
