16 Songs, 1 Hour

EDITORS’ NOTES

A seventh album of inviting folk from the world’s most successful former busker. 2012’s “Let Her Go” secured the U.K.'s Mike Rosenberg viral, multi-platinum and lasting success and this refines his appeal. Rosenberg is an affecting storyteller—“When We Were Young” and the swooping “Home” show off his poetic and incredibly engaging lyricism. Meanwhile, “Somebody’s Love” is the sort of lilting fireside singalong that’ll span generations.

Voice - eeeeek!

Well written and simple arranged songs are in abundance here, but his voice is like fingernails on a blackboard to me — so throaty. Nevertheless, his voice is so much better than many big name mainstream male singers!
