Excellent music for and by guitar
John Tropea is an overlooked guartarist and that's too bad because his music and compositions are excellent. It's not smooth jazz but rather bopping jazz with a side order of funk. If you cab find his first album, called simply Tropea, I highly recommend it also. This is music to play on a Friday night while overlooking the lights of the city. It is NOT background music but music that will transform any landscape into a movie.
