I like this album. The musical arrangements are very good and Mandy and Tirso are top notch. I give this album 4 stars. For those of you who want to hear some good cuban timba my favorite is the title tumbao el tipo picante yo te lo dije mama la duena de la manana and dime donde. Excelent songs for those who can appreciate good music.

Some good stuff, but not enough variety, and poor song placement.

The highlight of this album is the cream of the crop singers, Tirso Duarte(1,4,7,9) and Mandy Cantero(3,6). The problem is that the arrangements for all the tracks sound very similar, like other Envidia releases of this kind. Which kind you ask, Timbafied Charanga with Trombones. The problem with these projects is that it takes at least one year for this type of band to polish and have an original sound. Because the musicians are jumping from project to project it sounds a bit generic. Then at the end the Danzon Martinez appears to give the lack of variety and it sounds out of place. That track should have been in the middle to break up the album.

Mandy's tracks are the best here, so if you are only looking to download a couple, those are the ones. They are about latin heritage with just the right amount of macho. Tirso Duarte's tracks are romantically oriented and while they are good they are not his best.
