It’s been over a decade since Sacha released her last studio album, 2014’s Just Like You. While the Canadian singer-songwriter is true to her country roots on this long-awaited follow-up, Sacha has matured in both music and life, and expands upon the introspective songwriting of recent EPs like 2023’s Confident and 2025’s Where to Start on this full-length collection. Produced by Paul Sikes (Lainey Wilson, Cody Johnson), Woman in the Mirror is as reflective as its title suggests, with Sacha turning inward on songs like “This Girl’s Prayer,” a richly rendered bit of soul-searching that would sound at home on a Lee Ann Womack album. Like Womack, Sacha has a strong and agile voice, and plays with dynamics to illustrate narrative points. On opening track “Where to Start,” she guides a cascading verse melody to its warm and empowered conclusion at the song’s chorus, recalling another beloved country vocalist—Alison Krauss—in her voice’s honeyed tone. Other highlights on Woman in the Mirror include the fun and funky “High Life” and the album’s closing title track, a vulnerable and clear-eyed meditation on insecurity with dramatic melodic stakes.
