They cut the cheese

Man, what a great album. Melodic, and heavy, with beautiful vocals and great screams. I have always liked Borknagar, but I have always been a little turned off by some of the cheesy, extra folksy moment's that they have decided to incorporate. In this instance, they have kept the folk in the songs without sounding ridiculous. It sounds a lot like Amorphis with some Soilwork mixed in at times. Truly an epic album in every sense of the word.

After one listen to the entire album I can definitely say this may be the bands finest hour. Dark, melodic, and heavy. Borknagar have a uniqueness about them that stands out. Well done gentlemen.

I have a fetish for CD buying, it's been a moment since I've actually added to my library however. When I saw this I felt it was absolutely necessary as I have always loved this band. I gotta say, I can't stop listening to it. Weird though that some of my favorite jams on this album are lower rates here on iTunes which basically translates to ..."this album is the shirt"! If you are familiar with this band or genre this it's not possible to be disappointed! Cheers!

Ps... Unless I'm just not seeing it, the album I have has one more song on it. Track 9 called dominant winds...
