Graham Nash’s sophomore album came out during CSNY’s on-again, off-again period in the early ’70s, when the members began releasing solo albums that showed what each brought to the folk-rock collective. Wild Tales demonstrates what a spirited songwriter Nash truly is, with dark numbers like “Prison Song” decorated in brightly layered vocal harmonies and chugging road-rockers like the title track bearing an upbeat, slightly menacing edge.
