Rock Solid

The album and production is very subdued, and actually hides how good this album and these songs really are. Think of this album as the written screenplay to a great movie. These songs come alive in full color in concert. Barstools will punch you in the gut. Rock will make you get your groove on. Love Tractor will have you yelling yeee-haw at the top of your lungs even if you're not a redneck. Proving Ground is a song that is so good that it blows your mind a different way with each replay. The Van Morrison tune Send Your Mind is the only song I don't care for on Mom's Kitchen.

A classic!

This is classic WSP. This was the album which moved them onto the national stage and proved that they were serious musicians. Likely the best sophomore release of any band in 20 years. Buy the album...go to a show.

Classic

If you are a widespread can like me, this album is the quintessential work. Every song, literally every song on the album, is greatness. But my favorite to this day is I'm not Alone. C. Brown, Walkin' and Pigeons are right behind it....
