EDITORS’ NOTES

Whitney Houston possessed the kind of vocal wizardry that could transform “The Star Spangled Banner” into a soulful, emotionally transcendent anthem—and here it’s an honest-to-goodness power ballad. This expansive collection offers both breadth and depth: Achingly romantic tunes from The Bodyguard soundtrack (“I Will Always Love You” and “Run to You”) complement snappy remixes of early-career gems (“I Wanna Dance with Somebody”) and deeper cuts such as “One Moment in Time.” It’s the definitive overview of one of pop music’s truly unparalleled talents.

Not FAIR!!!

I bought this album because I love Whitney Houston's old stuff, and wanted to have some of my favorites all together, but I am not too happy with all of the remixes. I think the producers thought they could create new fans by adding remixes, but in my opinion they have just ruined the quality of the original versions. In particular the song "I Wanna Dance With Somebody" is such a horrible mix, I went back and ordered the original version. Overall, this album is fun, but if you're buying it to reminisce, make sure you listen to every preview before making your decision.

The Golden Voice!

Whitney had a golden voice. She made a difference and then was called back. We should all remember that with love and nothing else. I just heard a song that I dedicate to her called "Did You Make A Difference" by Buddy Mix. You can go listen to it here on itunes and be moved. It is a wonderful song that everyone should hear because it really makes you think about life. We love you Whitney and you will never be forgotten.
