Contemporary Christian megastar Jeremy Camp follows his 2019 album The Story’s Not Over with an LP whose roots can be traced back to the COVID-19 pandemic. Camp wrote the bulk of the album during lockdown, processing the difficulties of the time as well as reflecting back on his decades-long music career. The title track, which pairs a poppy melody with percussive acoustic guitar, finds Camp singing of a “holy melody” and a “Father whispering mercy over every need,” imagery that reveals hope in even the darkest of places. A similar message of faith-based optimism permeates much of the album, making for a welcome listen during a trying time.
